Education and patient connections are at the forefront of Ben’s practice. He’s interested in looking after complex prenatal and antenatal cases, but he’s passionate about building relationships with his patients and their partners to help them learn about pregnancy, childbirth and the transition into parenthood.

Ben worked in aged care and neurology in the UK while completing his qualifications to become a Midwife in 2011. This experience helped Ben to excel in providing Midwife services at the Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, the largest women’s hospital in Europe and one of the most reputable. After 3 years’ experience in their antenatal, postnatal, birthing and community areas, which included working with high risk pregnancies and deliveries, Ben decided to move to Australia to work with the Mater Hospital in North Sydney.

In 2016, he completed his certification in Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics for Midwives at Griffith University which qualified Ben to prescribe medication and order tests in collaboration with an Obstetrician to provide more thorough care for women and their families. Then, in 2018, he earned his Certificate in Family Planning and Sexual Health which also qualifies him to insert the implant contraceptive.

Ben has experience in both public and private health services in Sydney which enables him to help patients navigate the healthcare system, and he finds inspiration in making the transition into parenthood as comfortable as possible for new parents.
